Summer Camp

• The camp takes place at the Unionville Rowing Club, located in Newport, DE. Campers will have access to quality and safe equipment that is owned and maintained by the Unionville Rowing Club.
• Parents will drop off and pick up campers at Unionville High School, so no driving back and forth to Delaware! Bussing is provided by the Unionville School District.
• The camp will be staffed by current Unionville Rowing Club coaches who have years of experience teaching young athletes how to row.
• An 9:1 child to counselor ratio will be maintained to ensure quality individual attention.
• Campers will learn the basic rowing stroke and get out on the water each day. By the end of the session they will be rowing an 8 person boat!

Important Registration Details:
1. Payment is required at the time of registration.
2. Only one camper can be registered at a time. If you need to register more than one camper please fill out the registration form twice.
3. If you are signing up for more than one week today, or signing up more than one camper today, please answer “Yes” to the question on the form. This will apply your 5% multiple week/multiple camper discount. For multiple campers choose “Yes” on both registrations.
4. A full refund will be provided if you cancel up to 3 weeks from the start of camp.
5. A refund minus a $75 cancellation fee will be provided if you cancel within 3 weeks from the start of camp.

Camp is limited to 18 campers per week. If a week is not listed then it is sold out. Please contact Coach Maegan at novicegirls@unionvillecrew.org to be placed on the wait list.

Child Swim Certification *

By checking this box you are affirming that your child can swim 50 yards (2 lengths of a pool) and tread water for 5 minutes, both unassisted.

For safety reasons, being able to swim is required for participation in this camp. Safety launches are with boats at all times and it is unlikely that a child will end up in the water, but it is not impossible. Children may need to keep themselves afloat for a brief time before being given a flotation device or being brought on board the safety launch.
