Athlete Drop-off
We will NOT be launching from the same area as we did for Navy Day.
INFORMATION BELOW MAY NOT BE RELEVANT TO 2019 DUE TO ROAD CLOSINGS ON THE SCHUYLKILL EXPRESSWAY.
We will be launching from Three Angels, so the drop-off is completely different. You will want to come north on Kelly Drive, driving away from the city, past the art museum and Boathouse Row. When you get to the corner of Fountain Green and Kelly Drive, you will see all the trailers on your left, this is the drop-off area. You can also turn right on Fountain Green and proceed under the bridge and up the hill. Sometimes it is easier to drop off up there if the police aren’t allowing people to pull off to the side of Kelly Drive. I will be parking the trailer on Saturday night so I will send out a Remind with the location.
If you accidentally come down Kelly Drive like you did for Navy Day, simply follow the detour up into the park and keep heading across the park and down the hill back towards Kelly Drive. Just park or drop off before you get to Kelly Drive as the police will definitely not let you stop on Kelly drive going this direction.
