WHAT IS OUR FALL PROGRAM? Read below but if you are trying to register for that season please click here!
The fall season is open to all 7th – 12th graders who want to give rowing a try. It is a non-competitive (we don’t race), no cut season that is an opportunity for athletes to learn all about the sport. We want to give as many athletes as possible the chance to get out on the river and discover the joys of rowing! It is a great low pressure chance to find a new sport. For our middle school aged athletes it is the only season available, but our high school athletes can go on to row in the winter and join our spring racing team.
WHAT IS OUR WINTER PROGRAM?
If you are going to try rowing in the spring and don’t have another winter sport you are doing then coming out for the winter is a great way to get ready for the spring season! You can read more about Winter Training here.
Winter training is only open to high school athletes.
WHAT IS OUR SPRING PROGRAM?
Spring is our main racing season and is the season you will do if you only do one season of rowing. We have had many many athletes start in the spring and go on to be very successful. There is nothing wrong with starting in the spring!
Our spring season is only open to high school athletes.
step 1 – register with the school
If you are signing up for the fall then you will need to complete the entire ArbiterSports process for the fall. If you are new to ArbiterSports you will need to create an account. If you are returning then your account from the last academic year should still be active.
If you are signing up for the winter or spring, and previously rowed this academic year (you are signing up for winter and rowed in the fall, or you are signing up for spring and rowed in the winter and/or fall) you do NOT NEED TO DO ANYTHING on ArbiterSports again. You are already on our roster, you can proceed to Step 2.
If you are signing up for the winter or spring season and have already done ArbiterSports for A DIFFERENT SPORT at Unionville you will have to re-register for rowing under the Club section. However, all your information should copy over and you shouldn’t need a new doctor’s form.
Unionville uses ArbiterSports to register for rowing. Once you click on “Start Registration” you can find the link to register for rowing under “Programs.” Use our unique link, do not use the link for the general season sports. If a deadline is listed, you can ignore it, we accept registrations throughout the year.
If you created an account last year, you can sign in to that account and update your information. You will also need to upload a physical copy of Section 6 after getting it signed by your doctor. Remember, many urgent care facilities will do physicals, can often get you in quickly, and can complete the form for you if you need to go that route.
Your ArbiterSports information must be completed before the start of the season. Some key things to watch out for when doing the registration:
* The Section 6 form must be signed by a doctor and dated AFTER 6/1 of the current school year. Your physical does NOT need to be done after 6/1, but in order for your doctor to feel comfortable signing the form it is likely your physical should have been done within the last year. If it has, you just need to get the form to your doctor and make sure they date it AFTER 6/1.
* The student signature section is often a step that is missed.
Any athlete who does not have their forms in by the first day of practice will not be allowed to practice.
step 2 – register with the team
Fill out the registration form below so that the team and our Board has all your information. If you have previously registered with the team this current school year and don’t need to update any information, it is a quick 30″ registration.
Dues will be invoiced by our Treasurer through Quickbooks Online. You will receive an email to the “Parent/Guardian Billing Email” or the “1st Parent/Guardian Email/Billing Email” so be on the lookout for that. This email is done manually so it could be a few days before you receive it.
